I was talking with a co worker today and she was explaining how she can do certain things with her family, now that she have the time to do it. She can be to throw football with her boys, sit in class with her daughter and volunteer at her school, plus more. It was engaging to listen, don’t we all want a fulfilling life, that meets every expectation we have? Certainly, but how can we endure such greatness when working a Full-time job, having a family to rush home to after work, make sure dinner is cooked for our husbands, help our kids with their homework, squeeze in clean up time, something that I suck at, just how can this be managed in such short periods of each day without time to spare.
I really felt what she was saying and it hit me to where I realized, that I’ve made the right decision about working part time. I understood her point, she established very well, I realized I made the upmost right decision about my work schedule for sure. Having someone else see your exact vision makes thinking even more clearer, sparing your precious time just to slave then still waste it, what is it that we are giving back? I’m don’t want to say working part time is where your freedom is, but thinking clearer is where your conscious is. I chose to work part time so I can go back to college, and spend time with my baby girl, write and simply be free to do whatever I want to do.
I got tired of sparing my time full time at someone else’s dream, when in the world am I going to succeed in my own dream? Having a Full-time job is more money in my pocket, but I chose to sacrifice those couple of hundreds for my freedom that I now have. My co worker has walked into a blessing of only having to work four hours getting paid thirty dollars more, than what she was getting already. That’s what I call a heard prayer that turned into a blessing.
I’m super happy for her and I’m glad that she thought clearer not only for her family, but as for herself as a person. Choose your time and spend it wisely, at the end of each day, it’s still your call on your life.
